This is........ the story of a girl
who cried a river and drowned the whole world
and while she looks so sad and lonely there
I absolutely love her!!!!

I know there are a lot of you twenty-somethings on this board. Hit me with some nostalgia from the 90s--the best decade to have grown up in.

Edit: I guess this song is from 2000...

I loved Marcy's play ground Sex and Candy I think it was around the late 90's.

Also Candlebox Far Behind, which was early 90's.

I still listen to those 2 songs at least once a month.

+1

I was never a regular watcher, but I recently downloaded the whole kit and kaboodle and am working my way through it.

One of my favorites from the early-mid 90s:

We used to go nuts at high school dances when it came on.

I'm currently going through the entire Star Trek: The Next Generation series. I was too young to be interested when it originally aired, but now I'm hooked Very Happy

I spent 1991-93 in the Seattle area. I sometimes get a hankerin' for some Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, Alice in Chains and Mother Love Bone.

Oh wow! Sounds awesome. I love Seattle but wonder what it was like then. I was around 4 years old in '91. Nice call on Temple of the Dog--as well as the others, but not too many folks know about TotD.

Have you been back to check out the Experience Music Project, by any chance? Pretty cool. Last time I went, they had a Jimi exhibit.

Yeah, haha. I wonder why we have such a strong affinity with the decade we grew up in when our years in college are supposedly the "best" of our lives?

EDITED FOR HORRIBLE GRAMMAR

I was a teenager in the 80's but I still think the 90's were better than the 80's.......well, musically and culturally anyway....

I'm from Portland and have family that lives in the suburbs of Seattle. I haven't checked out the EMP yet. I know people who have and they liked it. The only thing I usually do in Seattle is visit family and go to sporting events.

After 20 years I can still remember the lyrics of those songs. Even if I haven't heard them in a long time. I must have a grunge locker somewhere in my thinker that stores that stuff.

"Oz " a really gritty prison drama that came out in the late ninties. I loved all the weird punky homosexual stuff happening between Beacher(lawyer) and Schillinger(Nazi). It finally led to a showdown where the timid lawyer just freaked out. Some of the best TV I've ever seen.
