From who do you order magazine subscriptions? I've ordered a couple direct from the publisher at a premium price for international subscriptions, (22 dollars vs 12 dollars) but Time magazine in particular, they want 221,000 won for 56 issues, vs 20 bucks in the US. There has to be a better way to order this. Who do you use for magazine subscriptions? |

"What the book" in Itaewon offers magazine subscriptions but they're a little steep too (I've seen some for about $80 USD).
Its worth a try to check out their website though. |

Yeah, I try to avoid What the book, they're steep all over.
I see so many people reading Time magazine in coffee shops. Don't tell me you all pay over 200 bucks for it (either by subscription from Time direct, or paying the outrageous cover prices here for it which would actually be closer to 350 dollars a year). Who has a subscription to time that is reasonable? No one?!? |

Just checked their website and they are screwing the pooch. Is there a forwarding service where you are from?

I think that if you don't mind getting it a week after everyone else, you could have someone back home forward it to you. |

I thought about that, and I don't mind it being late, but magazines like Time are weekly, so to have it arrive weekly and forwarded weekly would add up to more than the already expensive subscription here. I've got some other magazines that are sent to my home in the US, but I'm trying to cause the least amount of trouble for my parents. ThingsComeAround's link looks to be a good solution IF i order enough magazines to be worth it, but not enough to push the weight limit too high... Such a subtle dance. |
