One of my favorite quotes, from ex-Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach John Mckay. After his team lost yet another game in an abysmal season:

Reporter: 'What do you think of your team's execution today?'

Mckay: 'I'm all for it.'

I find television very educating. Every time somebody turns on the set, I go into the other room and read a book.

This isn't exactly one for the books, but it should be:

"He called me a rapist and a recluse. I am not a recluse.

i like two quotes by Nietzsche...i think

" No victor believes in chance" and "success has always been a great liar".

I like them because I think they basically mean the same thing but come from different angles.

(The historian) should know in his writing no country and no city; he should bow to no authority and acknowledge no king. He should never consider what this or that man will think, but should state the facts as they really occurred.
Lucian (A.D. 120-200)

I think John Adams said a similar thing.

'My dear, I've had a good evening... This wasn't it.'
