I spent 1991-93 in the Seattle area. I sometimes get a hankerin' for some Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, Alice in Chains and Mother Love Bone.

Oh wow! Sounds awesome. I love Seattle but wonder what it was like then. I was around 4 years old in '91. Nice call on Temple of the Dog--as well as the others, but not too many folks know about TotD.

Have you been back to check out the Experience Music Project, by any chance? Pretty cool. Last time I went, they had a Jimi exhibit.

I'd say a fair share of people born in the US in the late '70s and early '80s know exactly who Temple of the Dog was!

I'm from Portland and have family that lives in the suburbs of Seattle. I haven't checked out the EMP yet. I know people who have and they liked it. The only thing I usually do in Seattle is visit family and go to sporting events.

After 20 years I can still remember the lyrics of those songs. Even if I haven't heard them in a long time. I must have a grunge locker somewhere in my thinker that stores that stuff.

Oh nice.I'm from Vancouver and all my friends stay in Portland. I'll be moving to NW Portland when I return home.

NW Portland is nice. It's the trendy area of Portland these days. SE is grungy, NE is dark Wink , SW is also nice.

The Portland Timbers join the MLS next season and the stadium is on NW 23rd ave. Should be fun times.

I was a teenager in the 80's but I still think the 90's were better than the 80's.......well, musically and culturally anyway....

hahahhaa not even close! the 80's destroyed the 90's musically and culturally. I don't know how it was up their in Ireland. but the 80's had all the legends.
