If you wanna be fortysomething in jeans and a t-shirt, go ahead.

seems to work fairly well for Brad Pitt and many others.

OP. How you look in jeans and a t-shirt is far more dependent on your physique than your age. I know guys well into their fifites, who look damn good with jeans and a t-shirt on. They rock the look unlike kids thirty years younger who are either couch potato slackers or bloated fat blobs.

re your piercings, that's a personal decision and I agree with the poster who said if you don't feel it, others probably won't either.

I actually got a classic stainless steel small hoop as an earring in my latter 20's and years later have no intention of taking it off. I like it/feel it and others seem to like it also, I get compliments on it all the time, often from (significantly) younger women.

Of course I chose a piercing I was comfortable with and liked and one that is a "classic" old school look that will probably withstand the test of time.

btw.. re Howie Mandel. Are you serious?
Did you see the badly balding and out of shape Howie Mandel (though he rebloated back up quickly) before his little transformation? He looks about a 100x better these days, it's simply about trying to look better rather than clinging on to younger age. It's very difficult for a white guy to pull off a bald look. You need to be a bit beefy and darker skin or tan is often needed but it still beats the alternative.

anyways, in my eyes, the middle aged Howie often looks better when you compare some of his pics now, than in his young comedian days, when frankly he looked like a dork, the kid who usually got beat up in school.
