Umm.Chinese? Ok,I'll take it, but if we're going do to "Chinese"
any-thing, let's at least do the better of the two and go with Cantonese.
Connection to Korea? None anymore ( Thank-God).. I just like to come
on here and mess with you ingorant people from time to time.

1. I'm HORRIBLE with my money. I spend it as fast as I earn it.
2. I bought it when the exchange rate was awesome, it was in an incredibly convenient location, fit all my needs, and seemed like a good "investment." In fact, if I were to sell now, I imagine I would make a small profit.
3. I like the fact that I could at any moment go there and have a place to stay where all my stuff is at. Plus it lets me keep all my stuff somewhere in Korea.
4. I really, really thought I would go there more frequently - perhaps annually. I was wrong. I saw what sort of hit my income took when I would leave for Korea. Last time I was in Korea in 09, I could have bought a Porsche with the money I otherwise could have earned. This year, I skipped the trip and bought the car. |

That's one of the greatest aspects of life in Korea, but it's definitely not what I miss.
I miss the feelings, emotions and sensations of being new to Korea. The nostalgia is killing me now. Lots of good memories, not many bad.

No dead end job, no astronomical bills, no screaming kids. Just lots of memories. I never got the evil K-glares, I blended in too well. I didn't agree with the way Koreans did many things, but I have almost no bad memories.

A short trip back to Korea probably won't help me. What I'd need is a time machine to go back to the first month(s) I was there. That period of my life was too much fun.

Here is a pic of the Porsche's window sticker and the Certificate of Title to it:

As you can see, I bought it in December and had it paid off by March.

But let's say that it is true...$250,000 for cars?! That is way, way too much. You overpaid. And considering your apologist ways, I'm surprised that you aren't into buying Hyundais and Kia's with their stunning beauty and classic design
If you are indeed legit(as you say), then why are you posting on Korean forum? A place that is 90% English teachers. And if you aren't in Korea anymore, why do you post here?

That's the kicker! Both mayorgc and madoka were the biggest apologists around here and both have left Korea behind, except in their hearts. They were telling posters who dared to criticize something Korean that it was time to 'go home' and yet they themselves ended up being the ones bailing. Oh, the irony! |

So either I somehow found pics of some guy's window sticker, title, manuals, and keys and then used my God-like photoshop skills to trick you . . . or perhaps I spent over a thousand dollars (replacement Lexus key fobs go for several hundred dollars) on keys and manuals to cars I don't own to prove a point on the internet . . . or maybe, just maybe I'm telling the truth and always have been.
BTW, to all the racist idiots out there: responding to racist attacks does not make one an apologist. Check my posting history and find one post where I praised Korea/Koreans for anything. |

Sorry, but I simply don't believe something is true because you say so. I have no idea what you are capable of. There are a lot of nutjobs on this site that want to appear "elite and I think it is well within the realm of possibility that they would go to the extent of photoshop or find some other way to fake it to please a bunch of Internet strangers. This is a forum where you have teachers that are 20 feet tall, 1,000 pounds of muscle, live the CEO lifestyle and think the earth revolves around them. Yet they post on a Korean discussion forum 
But...if you indeed have a Porsche, good for you. Congrats. Strange however, because a Porsche isn't a Korean car and having the love for Korea and Koreans that you do, I would think a Hyundai or Kia would be more apropos. Just shows you how the wheat separates from the chaff. However, I am not impressed by your Korean-style need for status. Of course, you couldn't have just said "I bought a car." No, you just had to say it was a Porsche. There are a lot of people who simply aren't impressed. Wow, you paid all that money for a car. A car. Something that gets you from point A to point B. You could buy a beat up truck for 5 grand that would do the same. But, of course, you gotta have that status. Your thinking is why the world is so messed up today. "Look at me. I'm special." Dude, how about donating some of that money to an orphanage or animal shelter or something worthwhile. But again, that would be too altruistic , I guess.
As far as the comment about the apologentsia...yeah, I find it quite amusing that many of them are no longer in Korea and they are telling people how to live here. I just can't understand why anyone that is no longer in Korea posts on this board with any frequency. Seriously. are your lives back home so drab? And you apologists HAVE to have some Korean in you. You have to. I just can't imagine a non-Korean getting on this forum every single day and defending a place(Korea) where they are excluded just based on the color of their skin. You do know that you will never be accepted by Koreans, don't you? You are not Korean and, as a result, you are less than them in their eyes. Yet, you defend everything about them? As one of my co-workers once said, "sick" is what she called you guys. And I agree. Also, why do people who claim to have so much money, cars, etc. and no longer live in Korea come on this forum? This is a place for people who are living in Korea and are working here(over 90% English teachers, I'm sure). If you are as prosperous as you say, then why aren't you doing something better than trolling on here all the time? Hell, why aren't you out driving that Porsche rather than getting on this forum every day. Mind boggling, to be sure. |
