I have the best kind - one of an Englishman scared to lose his hakwan job because after 6 years in Korea is virtually unemployable back home!

Yes, I'm sorry Min soo it's trash can, not a bin! Miahnhamnida Minsoo shi! Oh, Chessumnida Hahn ah shi, Of course the correct spelling is c-o-l-o-r! My mistake!'

I'm Aussie and I got north eastern. I always told my Bostonian friend that he sounded Australian when he started dropping his "r"s!

Funny, I am Canadian but I decided to take the test just for kicks.
My result?

"Which American accent do you have?

Canadian

People from outside North America probably think you`re from the States, but over here we wouldn't make such a mistake. "

lol

Every time I hear someone talk in a southern accent, I immediately think they're stupid. So no, I don't want a southern accent.

I got northern, or as I like to say, normal, educated, correct American English.

a prejudice perpetuated by all the Billly Joe Jim Bobs, crackers, GOP politicans, the most famous of which being Georgie W.

it'd be unfair if it weren't so true, in percentage terms.

I got "Neutral", which is what I've heard for people that live in Oregon, a very plain and wide-spoken accent, probably the most spoken English accent overall.

It makes sense, with the whole Oregon Trail thing, having the Midwest accent.

I've lived my whole life before Korea in the Pacific NW, including four years in Portland, and I also got "neutral", or as I call it, "west coast" accent.

Except it's not even primarily a West Coast accent, as it's shared by much of the Midwest and Northeast.
