Hi! My wife and I are new to Jinju also; we've been here a month as of today. We work down at Gyeongsang National University. There's around 20 teachers here; we also found a local English church where we met some foreigners. Where are you working?

Can anyone give any further input on what it's actually like to live in Jinju? Is there anything remotely resembling a nightlife in town, at least on the weekends? Any foreigner bars/pubs to speak of?

Do people usually spend their weekends in Busan or other nearby cities?

Furthermore, can anyone comment on the quality of the hagwons there? Are there any in particular that have a bad reputation, and should be avoided at all costs?

Feel free to send me a PM if you'd prefer.

Thanks!

I'm in Uiryeong, which is about 40 minutes away from Jinju(halfway between it and Masan), I've also been here for 2 months and the only foreigners I know are the ones who stay in this town.
