Sure; as of October 2010, YBM is a large hagwon chain that teaches the full gamut of potential students--from kindergarten through adults. Some are owned, operated and managed by YBM itself, and some are franchises owned by others who are simply licensing the name and material. They have their own curriculum and textbooks.

I haven't heard many complaints about it, but like any franchise in Korea you can get good ones and bad ones. If you have a job offer, let us know which city it's in and you might get a more useful review of the place.

What exact divsion are you in? The company is pretty damn huge, right now I'm working with their outsourcing people (sending F-visa people to corporate offices to teach classes and whatnot) and they're pretty good and the pay's awesome, but that doesn't say anything for the company in general.

The pay is even more "awsome" than you realize, except YBM is keeping over the half the money for doing next to nothing.

Too bad so many F visas don't get this.

Time to buy stock in Vaseline apparently.

Well its the ECC division, no school location set just yet, but in terms of support from the recruiters I'm not receiving any which.has me a bit skeptical if I should take the gamble. The benefits all seem appealing but if I'm not able to have built support from them it affects my decision. What do some of you experienced ESL teachers think??
