|
|
Hi,
I've wanted to get a pet now for a while and have had ferrets for years back home in Canada. I haven't seen any or heard of any in SK, I was wondering if they exist here and where to find a little guy if they do.
Thanks! |

Korea has weasels (족제비), sables (담비) and ferrets (흰담비), but I'm not sure if they are allowed as pets here. |

I've seen them in pet stores in Korea. They look like the standard ones you see back in N. America. I do not know if they are descented or not. |

Its a Korean site but you can figure it out in a few clicks! |

Thanks for the link! I've got 2 pet rats here and it's hard to find supplies for them here. I've been having ferret and rat stuff sent over from the UK and US. |

Literally, yesterday, in Haebongcheon, I saw a Korean guy walk down the street with two ferrets in his hands. Smoking a cigarette. Kind of bad ass. |

I've got two ferrets. The first is a white one from Mr. Kim over at Interzoo and the other I got another from a teacher that was leaving.
He's a nice guy and ferrets make fantastic pets. But like all pets, gotta be responsible and only get one if you're certain you're in it for the long haul.
Also, if you do get a white one be sure it isn't deaf. Because of in-breeding they tend to have a genetic defect. My white one is deaf. He's still a fantastic, trouble-make'n, pain-in-the-arse, entertaining, ball of fun ferret and didn't even know he was deaf for almost a year.
PM me if you have any other queries!
p.s. they're a big hit with the locals and students |

I saw a ferret like animal out in the country on sunday. It had a long, thin body with longish orangey colored fur. Kinda strangee.
I saw a much larger one in spring - and it had a sort of cat face - with fluffy fur around it's face. I suppose they are out in the rice fields looking for snakes.
Anyone know what this animal is??? Any pictures????
They always take off before I can get my camera out.
Any help appreciated.
Good luck. |

Thanks for that. So it's a weasel. I wasn't sure, because it had such long fur/hair, and it had that round fluffy hair face.
Cheers. |

Homeplus has shavings bedding with apple scent, if you're really worried about the smell, though the plain stuff works well without the added fragrance. I just scoop out the poop every day and give the cage a scrubbing once a week. |

Does anyone know if having a raccoon is considered legal?
I almost adopted a raccoon the other day. |
