Yeah, well, I experienced raciesm from 'your people" as well.
Plus, many many others at my hagwon who were darker-skinned.
@Machoman- So sue me for wanting to know a little more about you,

This thread is amusing because it started out as a "people are rude on Dave's thread" and turned out to be an argument between two people. The thread caught my eye because people are flat out rude. I've been on other forums where people were jerks, and it was par for the course, but I joined this one because I thought it was supposed to be an exchange between teachers and potential teachers. Oh well, that's life I guess. People are going to be how they're going to be.
Coming from the Deep South, it feels weird to call Virginia a southern state, but it is. |

I know. It's supposed to be a positive and helpful exchange.
Came to Daves' with the hopes of helping a potenital teacher to prevent making all the same mistakes that I did when I was in Korea.
It's like everyone is against everyone else( like they fear competetion amongst thier own kind).
Yes, they are very rude ( just like I Remember about Korea).
Yes,I remember the 'bad"-

I respectfully disagree. 
That is your own opinion. You choose to allow yourself to get emotionally charged when you read what someone has written. Sure, no one likes a jerk on the internet. But on the other hand, smart people don't allow that to interfere with their discussion or communication with those other people that are decent enough and can carry a conversation. |
