This may not be exactly what you're looking for, but...

The best resource for Korean subtitles I have found is this place: http://www.cineaste.co.kr/bbs/board.php?bo_table=psd_caption&page=2&page=1

You can download Korean subtitles, and the applicable movie from whatever torrent site you can find it on. There are tons of subs here.

I 2nd that. That site is the best one out there for finding Korean subs for English movies. If there are other sites out there as good as this one please post it.

Related but opposite:

I'd like to watch a Korean movie (Nom Nom Nom) with English subs. I want to legitimately download it here in Korea. Anyone know of any of those Korean pay sites that have English subs?

If you use the Korean version of GomPlayer you can get Korean subtitles for most films. There will be a button near the bottom of the screen that says 자막, then a pop-up menu comes up. If forget what it says exactly, but your wife can help. Then, it will open up your browser and display the subtitles available for the video. It will automatically search for the exact file name of the video you are using, but sometimes subtitles are not available for that specific file. Then you can just do a manual search for the movie name, and it will probably pop up. This will NOT work if you have the English version of GomPlayer.

Also, the website cineast.co.kr has a lot of Korean subtitles on it too, as someone already mentioned.

does the gom player solution work if you've changed the movie title (i.e. cut out the extra crap other than movie name) because i changed mine just to neaten the look of the folders up but im guessing this will stop gom player matching file names to subs?

bigfile.co.kr

You have to sign up and it's all in Korean, but it has most movies with subs included.

The problem is, a lot of Korean movies don't have Korean subs.

Use Gom player. If you google it you should be able to find an English version or just get a Korean to find you the Korean version.
