I've been told that if I leave Korea earlier than 11 months (330 days) that I will be taxed all my earnings back in the USA. Is this true? I have to be back about 10 1/2 months into my contract so could I go back and just chill in Canada for a week or so to evade paying taxes? Please help me understand this!!

You are trying to avoid taxes, not evade them. You should never want to say that you are evading taxes, ever.
Tax avoidance is the word you are looking for. Tax evasion is illegal. You are attempting to avoid taxes by staying out of the country, which is quite legal. |
