|
|
I have started to design and build interactive ENGLISH guides for Korean only iPhone and iPod applications. The app will simulate the functions of the original Korean application but everything will be in English, so you can flip back and forth as you use it.
I noticed a lot of applications made for living in Korea were in Korean ONLY, with the exception of a few. So I wanted to have an easy to learn/use it, hence the idea for a navigational guide right on your iPhone/iPod.
The first app is about a week away from being released. It's a guide for "Naver Map", Korea's #1 map application online and on the iPod/iPhone.
Since learning how to use this app (in Korean), I now use it literally EVERY day. You can check what bus stops are around you, find directions, find what buses to take to go from point A to point B, local restaurants, cafes, banks, bicycle routes, and on and on.
It can be hard to navigate around these crazy streets, and learning how to use this program has definitely helped me, so I hop my program will help others to learn it as well.
Please join the Facebook group for more information and to be one of the first to get the new app coming soon: ezNaverMap

Thanks. |

a week from being released or a week from being sent to apple for approval (which I've heard can take a ridiculously long time) |

The app is now released and available on the iTunes store!
Just search ezNaverMap, or use this link:
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/eznavermap/id392583265?mt=8&uo=4
Check it out. It's available in all app stores worldwide.
And for accessing the app store in Korea, its not that difficult, just set up another account with a different email, then you can switch back and forth between the two on the iPhone by signing in and out. |

If we already use Naver or Daum maps in Korean, does this app offer anything new, or is it just for those that don't know Korean? |

@TJ: If you already know how to use the application 100% then there's not too much else you're gonna get out of it. But if there's still some things that you're not sure what they are or mean, then it would help out.
@Kuraudo: I'm looking into trying to convert them for Android use, if that's what you're talking about. Will take some time though. |

^ Oh that's great Raulstyle. You mean you have the ability to multi-code to different formats? Impressive. So later on galaxy will come if theres time?
Does this take you several months to complete? |

yeah it's possible for me to do, but will take some time. I don't really know too much about Android coding, so will be looking into it or seeking out someone who has experience. |
