I have a bottle at home I want sent over, but not sure if it will get snatched up at customs.

Does anyone know?

Sent by itself it may never make it.
Send in a package of other stuff (like a care package from home) and it will be fine.

A single bottle of cologne is just too small and expensive to send cheaply with the hope that it actually gets delivered and not cost effective to send by other means.

Can't you get your favorite scent here?

Ah, thanks.

To be honest, I haven't checked. I have a giant bottle I left at home and my mom is sending me some things, so I figured why not just toss it in.

((I have posted this elsewhere, but you may not see it, so here it is again.))

Best bet is to bring some from home. I brought 10 bottles and had some sent in boxes by the fam. The trick is to have things listed as "toiletries" or other personal effects. Do not list perfume or other alcohol based on the customs form.

Other winning tips:

-Gmarket has some testers on the cheap, but a limited selection.

-Fragrance X has a website where they send stuff with free shipping (over $75) and I had a box of 3 bottles arrive unmolested by customs. Also, shave cream and gels from major designers.

-Check out the train station in Fukuoka when in Japan. Japan has discount stores with cheap (compared to Korea) scents. Tenjin Core and the like.

-Try getting a used bottle shipped over from a private seller. I have had several bottles sent from the USA, England and Canada. Again make sure you have them write personal toiletries or cosmetics on the customs form.

You can find anything on the cheap at the site below. Or request a bottle.

If you have exquisite taste, these companies ship to Korea:

Ask me for more help. I love fragrance.

Most fragrances you can find here for a cheaper price.

Some are considerably more expensive.

Anything by Tom Ford, Hanae Mori, Vera Wang, and Chanel will be more expensive.

Most others will be on par or cheaper.

Tom Ford Grey Vetiver is like 250,000 here. Hanae Mori and Vera Wang all run around 150,000.

I solved this by smuggling back a bunch when I came back from my vacation.

had my mom send me a couple perfumes from home that I forgot to bring. Nothing went wrong. I've had about 5 care packages sent to me over the past 7 months, and not a single box has been opened or detained at customs. they have included everything from prescriptions, NyQuil/DayQuil, ranch dressing, macaroni and cheese, and brand new cosmetics.

When getting care packages, it's not necessarily about what's IN it, but how the box is LABELED.

Brand new camera? Have your sender take off the price tag and label the box as "used electronics."

Brand new perfumes? Label it as "toiletries" or "used cosmetics"

Medications? Have the sender include the prescription just in case, but I would label them as "vitamins."

Update:(Only because I saw this thread upped)

Cologne arrived without any problems.

Also, the USPS is getting better. My package full of clothes, candy, etc, arrived in a week!
