Drive a stick? I can throw one...
For me: scuba dive, play polo, fire a .50 cal (mini gun would be nice too), own a farm and learn archery. |

I should know how to....
-be a fiscally responsible adult.
-recognize that I'm tanked and don't really need that last beer or three
-consider being in a long term committed relationship without getting chills down my spine.
-do most anything considered normal and mature for an adult male.
Sadly, all these things continue to elude me. |

Wow. Some of these are more "would like to know" more so than should. But here's mine:
However,
* Drive a car/any motor vehicle.
* Make a meal from scratch (my husband is brilliant, so I don't bother trying). (PS. I can't cook anything anymore, not even "E-Z" foods. I haven't turned on a stove in a year and even that was just boiling water for tea.)
* Download from Torrents. (husband, again)
* Iron.
* Bicycle maintenance outside of changing tire tubes and such.
* Open jars. (This isn't so much a lack of knowledge as a lack of fortitude).
There are a lot of things I would like to learn/know how to do but I don't think the qualify as things a person my age and social status SHOULD know. If anyone would like to trade skills, I've got hand stitching, knitting, typing, and being awkward down pat.
I did recently learn how to open a bottle of wine without a corkscrew. It was an exhilarating moment. |

Downloading torrents is a synch Dorkothy
1. Go to google and google 'utorrents.'
2. download the torrents engine.
3. Go to an external torrents website such as btjunkie.com and find a torrent. Then click 'download torrent' and it will open up in the torrents engine. Hey presto! |

Even easier if you use Vuze. |

I'm not allowed to because I might get a virus. QQ
Even now I've been fed this line so many times that I assume if I take your advice, it's the equivalent of downloading goatse.
It's sad because all the music on my laptop has been legally downloaded |

| You wont get viruses if you make sure the torrent has a good health report and check for user comments. |

I mostly agree with you, but everyone should be able to cook at least enough to keep themselves happy (even if everyone else hates it) After seeing how lost my father was without my mom, I'm convinced that home ec should be a mandatory class in high school. |

I took home ec in high school... :/ I also took HTML that same semester.
I can bake so-so. Man, back in the day Sundays were all about the "wake and bake." Put on my cute Anthropologie apron, get some Heavenly on the ol' Zune, and bake up some cranberry-orange scones. Boy howdy!
(Don't correct me on what that phrase means. To me, it will always be about eating fresh vegan protein bars at 10AM!) |

Where I come from wake and bake has a whole different meaning.
I should be able to make money.
I wish I was able to get a job.
I just want to travel and write books.
I want to teach in a university.
I want to be able to speak Japanese, Spanish, and Mandarin.
I want to be able to live without driving a car ever. |
