For starters, stay away from public torrent sites. |

Always curious when this happens. Could you tell us which ISP you use and which site had the file that led you to getting a warning? |

More info please.
Letters in the mail? Were they written in English? How did you know what they said? What did they say?
6 years of heavy torrent use with multiple ISPs in Korea and have never experienced anything of the sort. |

im interested in knowing about the isp torrent site myself. i sometimes get the impression my torrents are throttled. is there anyway to figure out if this is true?
anyway i was also reading about anonymous torrenting and found this useful site for the OP
http://torrentfreak.com/5-ways-to-download-torrents-anonymously-100819/
not sure what is good and not...anyone tried any of these methods out?
im almost certain there will be a point whereby isp will control what you do...the internet is about to explode with cloud pay per download tv and gaming and media so governments are starting to realise the huge amounts of tax revenues to be had be closing this down. i imagine the industry as a whole will turn the screws on isps to clamp down. if i remember correctly there was a meeting here in s.korea last year where all the big players came together to discuss this very issue and to dictate policy. is the golden age of torrenting coming to an end? what do people think?. |

How do you know it applies to torrents and not other downloading sources that have been banned?

I've had two or three warnings from my ISP (LG Powercomm).
They come from an agency in the States called Baytsp who seem to be acting on behalf of Paramount.
They related to new-ish release well-known movies which I downloaded from a public site. |
