I made a fan page for Samsung card, looking into some insights from the Dave's community to make it better.
Added a bunch of important stuff (like the English number if your balance is too high and you need it adjusted) but... if you have time would you take a peek and see if it is actually helpful?

Considering that Samsung is now telling hagwon workers they can no longer get the card, your Al Bundy avatar is highly appropriate! |

public school, university employees, F-2,F-4, & F-5 visa holders are all able to apply.
It was my understanding that hagwon employees were never able to get one. Unless your hagwon boss co-signs. |

I take it the OP works for Samsung, and is not just a fan?
the page looks good.
Is the English number the smae one to call if you lose your card / need it stopped? Sick of getting my wife to do it. |

Thanks, wuzza! Glad you like it
No, I'm on an E-2 visa and I don't work for Samsung.
should be compensated for my efforts, but hey
Yes, the English number handles everything- lost card, change of address, whatever you need |

Yesterday I called the English number for Samsung to find out how to get a credit card and they told me that they are no longer issuing credit cards to foreign English teachers....
I am here on an E-2 visa and have been at the same GEPIK public school now for two years. The man at Samusng said the rules changed a few months ago, so....
Any other recommendations for a credit card company that doesn't require a deposit of sorts. |

Wow- that's news to me...
Must be fairly recent as I changed my card with them a few months back.
No other company I know of offers cards to foreigners w/o a deposit. |
