Yeesh. The attitude you've displayed in this thread must certainly have turned away potential customers. I'll be waiting for your snarky response to my observation.

Actually, I decided to 'display' my attitude after I decided to just keep the iPad. Is that the 'snarkiness' you were expecting?

If you had started by quoting a price of 900,000 in the beginning, maybe this wouldn't have happened. If you had gone a little lower (800,000?) you would have sold it. I'm having a hard time being sympathetic to you, considering your family bought you a nice, expensive, and hard to get toy that you have no interest in. You seem to view the thing as basically a way of making a lot of money for nothing on your part.

Even if I had done that...you or someone like you would have stated that that is too high of a price for a used iPad. I know how many people on this site works. That's why I had people e-mail directly. When people see a price I give or a price someone else provides here on the site, someone ALWAYS inevitably states that, "oh, that's too expensive. You can get it cheaper at xx". Am I wrong?

And I'll ask you another question since you didn't answer my other one. If you already had something equivalent to a gift that someone bought you, would you just give it away? Again, no. You would try to make some money off of it. Selling a fairly new iPad for 500,000 won, in a country where it isn't even being sold yet, is pretty much giving it away.

If I'm wrong, then you buy something over 500,000 won that you can't get here in Korea and then sell it to me a month later for half price. I'll even travel to you and pick it up. Deal?

1. They are legal here. They were illegal for about a week when they first came out.

2. I'm waiting for them to come out here, because many of my Korean apps don't work! I gave my mom my ipod touch when I visited and picked up this baby, and they all worked on the ipod. Apparently the two gadgets use a different OS.

3. I was offered 1.2 million won (he started at a million and I kept saying no) for my 64gig wifi ipad by a salaryman a week ago. I refused politely, because I don't need the money and it's a fun toy, but it's reasonable for the OP to think that it's worth way more than 500k.

Actually, if you'll look around a bit, the last person who posted to sell an ipad, I was defending their price as fair considering everything. Yeah sure, there are dicks here, but there are also people who will post and defend someone if it's a fair price. No one can defend you because you didn't post a price in the first place.

This is ridiculous, how can you compare something you were given that you sell to something I may buy and then sell?

No one has attacked you about how much you wanted for it. There were some lowball jokers, they're everywhere. If you had ignored them, it wouldn't have been a problem. You didn't, so more people are posting and lowballing you.

Finally, it's a used product being sold by a stranger. Of course I (and others) are going to be hesitant to drop a lot of money on it. You have to pick a price and see how many buyers there are for it. Oh, and as NYC gal has mentioned and my brother in law has shown, Koreans are mad for the Ipad. How's your Korean? Try posting on a site for Koreans and see what price you can get. Seriously, no joke, remember Koreans love to show how much money they have by buying expensive products.

800,000?

I'll pay that for a 64gb IPAD. I'm considering buying a small laptop just to play movies, but I'd gladly pay an extra 200,000 for the IPAD.

LOL...I'm surprised that people are still posting on this. If you didn't read my second posting...I said that I was just going to keep it. It was at that point that I decided to entertain myself by replying to all of these posts.

I've been reading the postings that people put on Dave's for 5 years. It's hilarious to see the kind of responses you can get with a little nudge. You, are a good example of that. Everyone loves to get their two cents in...even when it doesn't make any sense at all.

Lighten up and don't take everything so seriously.

You asked for interested buyers to make an offer, and that's what he did. What's wrong? If you don't want offers, name a price. [/code]

Right. You should be naming a price if you want to scoff at low bids.

Oh, I see, you're hoping for a sucker who thinks the iPad is the latest must have thing and will pay a dream-fantasy price for it....dude....you've already said yourself there's no point in this thing if you have an iPhone......or, may I add, any smartphone.....except.....the iPad can't even make phonecalls!!

The iPad does make phone calls if you're on wifi. Wifi is nearly everywhere in Korea, if you haven't noticed.

Enjoy it on the subway, OP!

Sorry, but I decided to keep it. If you're looking for something reasonable, I would suggest the Lenovo that someone is selling on here.

http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?t=192515

"I" think it's a reasonable price for the specs that it has.

I look forward to someone telling me that 450,000 is too much for it. Considering I sold a 4 year old Gateway dual core recently for 350,000 ... I'd say the Lenovo computer is much more worth it. (And no, I don't know who that seller is.)
