Yes, the heat was on this morning on the #3 line and the #1 line. There was even a teen Korean girl wearing a winter coat, scarf, and gloves while heat was on! Get ready to bake, fellow foreigners! |

"indoor temperature regulation" is an oxymoron in Korea! I remember when I first got here it was January. On the way back from immigration on the subway it was so packed on line 2 that I didn't have room to move and take off my coat. I think I almost baked through during that ride! Thank god I don't have to take the subway to work every day. |

You are clearly mistaken. It is now October 10th. That means it is getting colder and colder outside. So you should be careful. |

It's 25 C this afternoon here on Jeju and the temperature inside E-Mart was about 27 C. I was sweating just walking around the store. Somebody turn on the friggin' A/C!!!!
But it's not unexpected. Korean beaches empty out September 1st despite 32 C days still. I shouldn't be surprised that 25 C October days are met by a heater!
It's a cultural thing. |

Maybe it's the hive mind. Group says it's supposed to be cold, so it's cold. |

because temperature is according to a fixed schedule. Kind of like no white shoes after labour day. |

Yep. It's that time of year again .........it becomes pleasantly cool yet Koreans start behaving like the next ice-age has set in.......it must be a group thing. 'Let's all show we are 우리 by overreacting to slight temperature changes in unison'. |
