I know, I know but seriously, sexist, ageist much?:

5. Teaching English presentation skills
6. Operating English Zone supplies

Qualifications;
1. English native speaker
2. Bachelors degree or higher
3. Older than 24, Under 36 years old
4. Female
5. F2, E2 visa holders who are in Korea now, and can attend in-person interview (F4 visa holders will not be accepted)
6. More than 2 years of teaching experience in Korea
7. Female

Hours: 9am-6 pm, Monday-Friday
Starting: Mid/End of November
Location: Central Seoul

Compensation
1. Salary: 3.3-3.4 million won (income tax will be deducted)
*41million won a year
(Air ticket and Housing will not be provided)
2. 50:50 Health insurance, pension
3. paid vacation (10 days)

They want all that AND the bag of potato chips, for a crappy 3.3, with no housing, and no plane ticket? No housing and plane ticket, make this job worth your average 2.5 a month, or less.

The employer is obviously sexist, ageist, and racist (no F4s! lol)

I hope that any F visa holding females fully realize their potential market value, and NEVER take a crap salary/job like this.

You can easily make more than 3.3 doing part time work, if you're an F visa holding female in that age range, EASILY. Gyopo or not.

Oh, did I mention, they want a FEMALE? lol

Atleast they tell you directly.

If I may give advice to the ladies, don't apply for jobs that are specifically asking for 'females'. There are a great deal of perv Hagwon owners/principals that would love to "watch you work".

and I'm not being sarcastic Idea

Isn't if odd how the feminists get quiet about sexism when females are specifically preferred for a job?

There are several reasons for the preference in Korea, but ladies considering coming here should know that not all of those reasons meet Western standards for appropriateness. In Korea anyhow, females are less likely to question authority, AND Koreans are very touchy. So, the ladies may have some misunderstandings in the workplace here.

I would say the real reason for demanding a female specifically is they want someone who is subservient and doesn't question authority not to say womens purpose in life is to be subservient servants without a voice. If you take this job, you may find yourself in a position difficult to impossible to correct the wrongs. While it looks like a good job on paper, I'm betting it's a tease and you will be ignored or told to hush if speaking up about the wrongs you become concerned with after accepting such position. While I'm male, I would say to go interview in person, have a serious discussion, and get to know who you are prospecting to work for. It's really difficult to judge an advert, but it's a red flag if it's sexist or racist, because it indicates the boss might be corrupt using fear tactics to motivate his people while screwing them out of money and benefits.

A lot of Korean employers have very limited experience with foreign teachers. Its possible this outfit has just left off dealing with a difficult male or older person. Or maybe they've had a positive run with someone that fit the ad's demographic & they hope to replicate that.

They dont have to be PC, so they arent. Their intentions arent necessarily exploitative.

Just suggesting.

That's absurd. As a feminist I find this horrifying. This kind of thing should never happen, whether males or females are favoured.

How much work?

The hours are from 9-6...1 hour more than a public school. The pay is also more than a public school though. And the number of "duties" is less than is expected at a typical public school as well.

I always find it humorous how very selective liberals, feminists and other PC-ism types are about what they choose to become offended by. Talk about selective tunnel vision!

I find it more absurd that F-4 visa holders will not be accepted than wanting to hire a female. While it's "wrong" to discriminate against male applicants, there is still a difference overall between female and male employees....but to disqualify F-4 holders simply because they "look" Korean is ridiculous. One's ethnicity is completely irrelevant in the workplace.

Nah, I deleted them myself.

Although I strongly believe in both of them, I'd rather not start a flame war.

10 days vacation, no airfare, no accommodation, 9 hour days, and the job seems reasonably difficult in comparison to most micky mouse ESL jobs here. Doesn't seem too good to me.
