Does anyone know how long it takes to receive a letter from the USA? I have been waiting for the past 2-3 weeks for mail from the USA.
It was sent via regular post. It seems like a long time to be waiting for mail. |

They've been pretty efficient for me, with packages and registered mail coming in at the low end of the estimated arrival times. |

I just realized that the e-mail I sent to my family did not have the following any one know if this would cause the post to be delayed?
I told them to write Gangseo NOT Gangseo-gu. It would seem odd to me for the post to be delayed because of the letters GU. I had relayed the rest of my address correct to them with the correct postal code.
I know in the states as long as you have the correct postal code your mail usually makes it to you. |

It will make it when the delivery guy learns how to read English.
As often happens, addresses that are done in English often get returned to the post office as "no-such address" and then dead-lettered.
If you want to ensure delivery, double address your inbound mail (English so the post office at home knows where to send it and Korean so the local delivery guy knows where to drop it off).
You might also want to look at the top of the delivery boxes (or the box on the floor) and make sure it wasn't just dropped off and not put into your box.
Delivery times for regular mail (not parcel) are 7-15 working days (coming from North America).
