she makes 1.5 million in a kindy hakwon. I couldn't believe it when she told me. She has to put up with so much crap, the boss lady is too demanding for the amount of money she makes.
On the flip side she was shocked when I told her I made 50,000 per hour at that same school and I was there from 10:30am-12:30Pm. So pretty much I made more than all the teachers there in the 2 hours I was there to sing songs and dance then they make all day.
She's going to ask for a raise and she's shooting real high this time 1.6 millon. She prepared for a battle to get it to. |

My gf went to school and became a patent agent for a few years before I met her. Her dad just retired and she took over a pretty sizeable chunk of his business. The rest is left for the younger brother.
Depending on the month she pulls in at least 6x what I do. I still feel a bit uncomfortable on my measly salary and try my best to pay for things. I don't mind that my gf/wife makes more but when it is a lot more it's kind of a shot to my pride. Especially when I simply can't pay for things that she wants to do sometimes.  |

Yes its true, and considering she is a very petite complaining Korean girl who paints her nails and is scared of being dirty she is doing well. At first she wanted to go there for a 2nd VISA which I objected to, then after she started working 6 day weeks I questioned her pay thinking it was a scam Aussies were pulling off for cheap labour because her farm was 90% Korean people. I was stunned! Thats great money, for simple work a monkey could pull off! Also her living expenses are cheap as. Should I tell her to stay there for another 6mths so I can stop footing her bills HAHAHA!
If you want to come to Aus do it for 3-6mths easy, she is at a strawberry farm at the sunshine coast. I heard blueberry picking is easier and higher pay though she didnt tell me where it is just up North I think Gladstone?.
And as a bf to an asian girl with very critical judgements of pretty asian girls getting off easy in life, its good to watch her get dirty and work hard  |

I'm intrigued by this. Is there an age limit to get visas? Would a Canadian in his mid-30's be able to get a job like this for a few months? |

Having seen the farm my gf works on I only saw one Aussie guy. The owner pays correct wages as he is making a killing in the Industry and doesnt need to be a dodgy farmer like some. You get paid on how much you pick and a ranking goes up on the farmers as to who is the best picker getting paid the most and one week which my gf showed me the top guy got $1960 but that was for a 7day week he worked.
As for your question your best bet is to contact foreigners in Australia on travel boards and also ask about peak seasons (for different types of fruit) and farms which employ over 100 people to pick as they are probably the easiest to get positions. I mean these farms are massive and you dont send a resume to them, you rock up and say you want to work. On my gfs farm she said many people worked for 2 weeks pocketed the money and kept travelling.
She has only seen a handful of Aussies work on the farm in her time and said they were slow and quit within a few days. So I guess you aint got any competition with the locals as Aussies are generally lazy haha! So it is hard for farmers to employ so they pay high and the Aus Government attracts foreigners with VISA extensions if you go bush and work on a farm.
GF has a chubby 50s lady from the pacific islands on her farm. So that appears to be the limit! You havnt hit that so I think you would be fine.
Thats about as much as I know about the farm thing, I think it is a great opportunity for someone who wants to travel here as there are no contracts, restrictions or anything. Though living so Rural would suck ass especially in the rainy season as you still need to work! |

Wow, that's really interesting because in Korea people say that all the girls who go to Australia on working holiday are hookers.
Glad to hear some of them do much more wholesome activities. |

Yeah there is heaps (but I wuldnt say it even reaches 10% of the Koreans who actually come here) who go to Sydney, but same with China and Jap girls here! just sooo many Asian hookers always in the papers. Wierd thing is the news did a report once and found most are paying off their large study loans at Australia Universities.... LOL imagine that, you think you have just met a wholesome girl in biology class who is a hooker by night! BAHAHA.... Though I saw some of them as a joke when my Taiwanese friends took me to a place in Sydney...and honestly LOL they were fugly as! you would have to be a drunk aussie bogan who has never seen an Asian girl to even go near that without paying haha! I laughed out the door... and apparently that was the best place in Sydney. They look so plastic aswell! gross! |
