My school, Chungdahm, is telling me to book my flight, pass training, and then sign the contract. Is this normal? Should I agree to do this?

i'm quite new to this, but i was asked to sign the contract and send all my documents in. they have mentioned flights but i think they want my documents first before confirming that my flight should be booked.

perhaps you should request the contract to be e-mailed to you, you sign it, scan it and e-mail it back. and they do the same?

This is the standard for CDI, as far as I know. I wouldn't do it.

Whoa, wait a second here. They want you to fly all the way here, do training and will only sign the contract if you pass? As in, you are screwed if you fail (or they fail you if they otherwise do not like you)?

Seriously?

They should only hire people in Korea if they are going to screw them like that. That is a contract I would not sign. What if you shell out for the flight, then have no airfare AND no contract (and thus, no legal way to stay in Korea)?

Not for me, that's for sure.
