I haven't had printed mugs made in Korea but I've had then done in other countries. Like a previous poster said, less than 10 mugs, it's a LOT cheaper to have them individually made. The downside is that those designs will eventually wear off or scratch off. Within a year of regular usage, the printed part will look terrible. They are basically hot glued on.
If you want ones with permanent printing on them, then you pay for a 2 things. You pay for the mugs (really cheap) and you pay for the stencil. In that case, the printing is put on using a type of glaze and then the mugs are fired - it's as permanent as it gets. If you want something with more than one color, then you pay for a stencil for each color. The stencils are the expensive part. But if you're planning on making up at least 25 mugs, then the overall price per mug may start to drop below the price of individual mugs (like they make at those little booths in malls).
How many mugs do you want to make? Is it just for a few of your co-workers? Or do you want to make up 100 of them for conference or course participants? |
