Everything back in England is superior and totally original, huh? Rolling Eyes

And I wouldn't bring up TV, considering it's obvious who has the lion's share of quality, original programming (let me consult my friends Omar Little, Tony Soprano, Don Draper, Walter White, and a few hundred others to check).

Ohhhhhh, Doctor Who! LOL... I enjoy the show, but...

Way to take an annoying jab at another nation for no reason whatsoever. Being that you're a fool (<-- edited) with a propensity to point out the obvious, I'll let it go.

Edit: Sorry, a bit harsh Laughing

Edit 2: Actually, I really did edit a bit for harshness...

If there is one idiot on this board then it is you BB, you are complaining that you can't get American-Chinese food in Korea! Laughing Has it ever occured to you that people have might differing tastes?

Original TV? You know too little about Britain and some of the quality drama and comedy Channel 4 put out - really, you shouldn't talk of stuff you know next to bugger all about. Confused

I think you're wrong with your assessment of BB here. He doesn't know next-to bugger-all about this subject - he knows bugger-all about it. Don't pu-ssy-foot (stupid swear-filters) about this - it's important that we educate the less-fortunate and ignorant - how else are they to learn if not from their betters?

Short answer - yes. I can do a good English and 'generic' (west coastish) American accent. Neither of which is mine, as I'm Kiwi Smile

I learned to speak in England, got an English accent, got mocked for it at school, and learned a Kiwi one. Then, when I came to Korea in '02, my boss asked if I could teach with a North American one. No problem. I've 'fooled' Americans and Canadians I've met with my accents.

Hmm. Not such a short answer. Anyway, if you'd like my help (just not in November - I'll be insanely busy) feel free to PM me.

Thanks to the people who've said they can do both accents - PM sent.

This thread has really derailed... Regarding the English being a nation of accents... Sure English accents change every 20 miles or so, but all of them are linguistically identifiable as 'English accent' whether it's an 8 year old Geordie or a 101 year old guy in Cornwall.

So, please step forward and help me of you can do an American and English accent in their broadest sense, and we'll take it from there Smile
