this might be considered a buy/sell/trade thing, so mods, please feel free to move it. i was thinking, how about a thread (or even a sticky) for people who'd like a free holiday in a different part of the country?

these days i'm thinking a lot about how i can explore different parts of korea, ie. having a week in gwangju, a week in geoje-do, a week somewhere else, etc.. i have a place in seoul (small officetel, but well located) that i'd be up for temporarily swapping with people living in other parts of the country. there have to be other people who would like to do this too i'm sure. so how about having a permanent thread where people can post what they have and what they're looking for?

The OP was suggesting an apartment-swap. They stay at your place, you stay at theirs.

i'm thinking more about longer stays, ie a week, two weeks, or maybe even longer. wouldn't fancy couch surfing for that length of time!

You can do that on couchsurfing.... There's no set amount of time for how long you can stay somewhere, just try and find someone who'd be interested in that.

Anyways, you'll have a heckuva lot more success (if you find any success) doing it on couchsurfing than here.

But not everybody wants to stay on someone's couch while they are there sleeping in a bed in the other room.

If you are worried about things being stolen then lock your valuables in the closet (if you have any). Otherwise, what's the harm? Do you think they are going to try and squat?
