Hello, has anybody worked for GEC in Gimpo or anywhere else before? I have been offered a job here and am on the fence about taking it. From what they say on the phone it sounded pretty cool as far as activities for students and so forth goes, but first hand experience/knowledge is the best.

If you go with them I'd guess that you'll be working illegally at the beginning, don't trust them. They won't be in any hurry to make you legal E-2 visa holder beforehand that way they can get rid of you if they don't like you upon first impression, week, or two, or three or more...
Before you begin you should at least have a set date to go to Immigration to pick up your alien registration card(ARC) and passport -- they will give you a document to use as identification during the process. Hopefully you won't need to do any banking during that time b/c the documented/paper identification won't suffice at the bank. |

Los Angeloser, can I ask what you are basing this on?
pb375402, where else have you heard negative things said about Global Education Center? |

Because I'm under the impression that it's considered more polite to bump an existing thread than start a new one on a topic that has already been covered.
Have you had any experience with this school? |
