I'll be going there in about two weeks. Just wondering if there's anyone there I can talk to about living and working on Jeju, and possibly meet up with. |

It's an EPIK position in Jeju-si, have only just had the confirmation it's an elementary school position.
After posting a question on that forum a teacher at the school I am going to emailed me to introduce himself. It's been very good and have kept up to date with what is going on there, learnt about the school and even know what grades I will be teaching.
Where will you be teaching? |

Hundreds of us here on Jeju Island.
If you wanna know about Seogwipo and the rest of the southern coast, drop me a line. |

dizzyl, sounds like a good gig! I'll be curious to hear how it goes. I'll be teaching at a hagwon in Jeju, a new one called Cambria Jeju, so I'll be teaching all different ages. It's somewhere in the downtown area.
Louis, do you dive at all? I'm very interested in going diving along the southern coast! I'm also going to be buying a scooter or motorcycle (I've been riding a Ninja 250 for two years now). |

I'm an avid swimmer and snorkeler (spent half the summer at Jeju beaches) but haven't taken the deep plunge here yet into scuba.
And while I have a jeep, it's continually tempting to get a B-Bone scooter, though rentals are cheap and easy. |

Do you have any favorite beaches to snorkel at?
And do you know of good places to buy/rent motorcycles or scooters? I've heard of Mr. Lee's bike shop through my internet research, but can't seem to find any other places. |

(in my most sarcastic voice) Why? Seoul is the shangri la of ESL teaching. Anyone who would suggest living and working anywhere else is crazy. Don't you know there is no life outside of Seoul? Its the beginning and the end, the alpha and the omega of teaching in Korea and the known universe. |

True.
And no, Jeju is a barren rock in the ocean, no one lives there. Seriously, I hate titles like yours, OP, come up with something better. |
