I'm not sure what it is, but I've been having a ridiculous craving for Camembert and Brie this month, and the stuff here is too darned mild. If anyone knows of a good place to get the stuff, I'd be eternally grateful. |

The one they have in the balso wood package at HOmeplus is okay.
There is that mini French town on one street in Seoul I believe (Ichon is it?) so that might be osmewhere to look shoould you be able to find it (can;t help there.) I went to the mini Japan town in Ichon once (again just the one street) and it was good for the kind of things you can buy in Japanese cvs stores such as noodles, snacks, drinks and lightweight groceries, so maybe there is a French deli in the French st perhaps. I doubt it though... |

Yeah, I've tried that one at HP. It's passable, but I'd really like something with a little extra flavor for some crusty bread.
I'll check out the French town. I haven't been yet, so shall give it a go. I'd pay a lot for some really good cheese. My friend sends firm aged cheeses, but soft ones wouldn't fare well. |

The Camazola or whatever it is called (the camembert / gorgonzola hybrid at emart / h-plus) packs a kick and still has that to die for creamy texture with that saucy, slightly too the tooth skin also. |

Costco has them. I'm not sure exactly how good they are. There was a Brie one I tried, and it was yummy. |

Can someone give me directions to this French town of which you speak? The Montrealer in me is hurting. |

I've seen them at Homeplus as well. I'm wondering exactly what variety they are. Are they the small, sealed rounds? If so, they're the same crap at HP. It's passable, but I'm not making a trek to Costco if it's the same crap that I can get a 7 min walk from my apartment. I'm looking for a wedge or cylinder (depending on the cheese, of course). Sometimes the international gourmet shop at Shinsegae has it, but it's really rare. |

I'm talking price-wise since so many stores seems to buy things at Costco and resell them at much higher prices. |

Ah. I'm more interested in quality than price. I live a few minutes away from HP, so it makes more sense to go there if it's the same stuff. A few thousand won don't make the trip to Costco worth it. I'd also have to set up a trip with a friend with membership, because there isn't really anything else I'd go there for. |

It's called Seorae Village. Some have expressed disappointment with the area, so don't go with high expectations.

The concept of passion for, and preoccupation with a particular type of cheese reminds me of cheesy Sarah Silverman...
