your school has recieved your documents?
I think my school was given all my documents today by my recruiting agent.
so on average do you know how long it takes to get an E2 number?
it's a GEPIK school by the way.
and i'm in England.
I have a mortgage you see, and I'll be renting my house out. obviously if i have a potential tenant i don't want to refuse the tenancy contract.
my house is being advertised as available from the Novemember 1st.
i have relatives close by, who i could stay with if i needed to.
but with regards to paperwork, i have my house as mypostal address, so should i just ask the post-office to re-directany documents from the embassy or Korea to my relatives house if i end up having to stay there?
Thanks in advance |

The school should have given you a potential start date.
With a PS it would usually take 4-10 working days to get the visa confirmation number.
The school (or recruiter) will send that to you by e-mail.
Then you go to the embassy to get your visa, get on a plane and head over.
The embassy can take anywhere from a couple hours to 4 days to process your visa after you apply.

i will also be applying for a spouse dependant visa F4 i think.
My husband has a British passport but we got married in Pakistan, but our marraige certificate is in English and has been stamped by a notary public in Pakistan.
we used this same certificate to apply for my husband's visa to come to England.
my agent said that everything should be fine and i should have no problems then.
do you think my husband will get his visa quickly as well?
thank you for response

I just got my visa confirmation code or whatever its called on Wednesday, which was about 8 days after the recruiters had received my docs. So it shouldn't take too long right now. |

F4 is Korean ancestry so unless your husband has a Korean parent you probably meant F3.
The dependent family visa usually takes no longer than the E2 after you get to the embassy.
Worst case: they won't process the F3 when you do your E2. In that case, he would fly here on a 90-day tourist stamp and AFTER you get your ARC here in Korea he would then change to an F3. Be sure to bring the proof of marriage.

The Korean Embassy in London takes 5 working days to process E2 visas, ie if you post it on a Monday and they receive it on a Tuesday, it will be ready to be collected or will be posted the following Tuesday. The visa section is only open for visitors between 10am and midday if you plan to go in person to apply. |

I've been told by my recruiter that it's taking much longer than usual, between 2-6 weeks to get your issuance number (I've been waiting 3 and a half already) And that the UK Korean Embassy is one of the slowest.
Can't say whether or not that's true, but it's what I've been told. |
