However you want to call the school, don't work their. It's the school in Bundang and simply from looking at their online direct hire post, it looks like a legit school, avoid it.
Don't bother listening to the teacher they will have you speak with, the teacher follows all of their commands with no complaints, most of the teachers despise working there.
If you want more info, p.m. me. |

Having spoken with a few other ex employees (native and Korean), that's the general warning/advise I got from them.
Do your research if you are considering working der |

Can anyone give me more information about this company? I can't PM because I don't have 25 posts on the site.
I'm considering applying here because it sounds legit, but this thread is the first Google search result that came up. |

A lot of school sounds 'legit' on paper, until you work for them.
Let see, 7s in Bundang, hearsay from former teachers, foreign and Korean workers
- you will work extra hours without overtime pay
- they will never give you your vacation days, and they are no transferrable or compensated
- they have not been paying their pension
- heard so many absurd stories about their management (words like double standard were thrown a lot when talking about them)
- you will not be treated with respect, it seems the president of the school has something against foreigners
- none of the teachers trust the management
if you want to work under such condition, they hey, be my guest, but do your homework
Find out how many teachers had stayed more than a year, ask to talk to them and any current teacher. |

Everyone posting negative things about 7S in this thread has had grammar/spelling mistakes. Sooooo.... it's hard to say. Maybe they were canned and have a grudge, I don't know. |

This is a horrific hagwon. It's basically 5 or 6 hours of teaching per day with ridiculous curriculum that makes no sense. When any parent complains (and they ALWAYS do because of the crazy textbooks), the management automatically blames the teacher. If a kid doesn't do his or her homework, they blame the teacher. After (and sometimes before) classes they have meetings that all the staff must attend. Often these meetings are in Korean with one of the Gyopo teachers translating. A great deal of these meetings consist of droning on and on about stuff that doesn't matter other than to one or two people. Then there are meetings where they get together to criticize you. They will actually berate you in front of the other staff right to your face.
Oh, by the way, you're only actually paid for the time you're teaching. The rest of the time (1:30pm-10:30pm or later) you're required to be present but you're unpaid. Sounds like slavery doesn't it?
Another thing, the one redeeming quality of the place is the apartment. It's a nice, new, clean officetel. The thing they DON'T tell you though is that you'll be paying between ₩150,000 & ₩200,000 per month out of your own pay for the combined maintenance/utilities bill.
Wanna be a slave & be treated like scum? Well, then be my guest. Otherwise, RUN!!! |
