So I've done some digging around and found some better Korean music out there than the 2NE1-2PM-Big Bang stuff.

Humming Urban Stereo - Sophie Marceau

Winterplay - Gypsy Girl

Winterplay - Men are No Good

Casker - Cat and Me

Fanny Fink - Sweet

Basically anyone you find on the Pastel Music Label. Search it out. The Fanny Fink link is posted by 'MissCrisby'- good selection of Korean Coffehouse pop.

Just recently. I was looking at Korean Retro music on youtube when one of them linked to Humming Urban Stereo. From there I checked out all of the Pastel Music artists and then it was googling 'K-Indie' and seeing what came up.

The other big label is Fluxus Music.

I should also mention Peterpan Complex

and Vanilla Unity

Not totally my cup of tea but you take what you can get here...

I'm pretty sure T aka Tasha aka "Yoon Mi Rae" 윤미래 is mainstream, but her music is very good..

Yeah, Winterplay is a great band. Would love to see them live someday.
I'm a big sucker for anything Clazziquai too.

I'll ask my gf to chime in on this, she's down with all the less well-known jazz-y Korean music.

Clazziquai is the only group that really fits into the "pop" mold but manages to not be really, really childish and lame, at least that I've found.

Clazziquai Project...man I forgot they were Korean. This is a great group.

Thank you for this thread, I am now in love with Humming Urban Stereo.
