Hey guys,
anyone know of a cell phone store (preferably in Gangnam) where the employees speak English?
I don't care which phone I get, the cheaper the better.
Thanks in advance for your help! |

Happy Telecom in Itaewon, run by a couple of Pakistanis, They speak English.
Go to the Central Hamilton Area. Look for Taco Bell. Go down the small alleyway street and go about 10 feet. It is across from a Kebab place.
They sell cheap charge up phones.
Good Luck |

LG phones, available through Oz phone shops, are probably the best deal going for foreigners. They'll let you sign on for a plan with no deposit as long as you have an ARC and bank account.
As long as you sign a year long contract you'll get a free phone, and on a plan your rates will be much lower than if you take a pay-as-you-go (PPS) plan. |

There are actually about 4 or 5 cell phone stores along that alley. All of them have Indians working behind the counter. A cheap phone will be about 40,000 Won and probably include 10,000 Won credit.
Go out of the subway station on the side opposite the Hamilhillton. Walk away from the main street. At the first intersection (about 20m from the main road) walk uphill. The first shop is about 5m from the intersection. The rest are nearby on the same side of the road. |
