I posted this thread in the general discussion section and it was locked. Just wondering if anyone has any experience in the dating scene (Seoul or Busan). Is it generally better or worse than the dating scene in the west?

I do fine with women in North America. I'm assertive although overly picky about dates. This topic fascinates me, being that I'm 26 and single. Thanks for your input.

Speaking the lingo opens lots of doors. If you live in Seoul it's no problem finding a bi-lingual lady who likes foreigners. Whatever you do don't take a date to TGIF. That can get really expensive and she'll expect you to take her there all the time. Take her too one of Samgyupsal places and great pleaesently sloshed.

Duuuuuude... Will workouts help? I've seen plenty of gnarly looking Canadian men get hot girlfriends as long as their assertive and built. At least your not an unattractive woman because we all know it won't matter how great her personality it.

Sex is different in Korea ,as birth control is not the easiest thing to

obtain and yes, this includes condoms. If you plan on having sex, I

suggest you bring a years' supply with you.

Also,expect to get LOTS of dirty looks and questions, if your seen hanging

out with a person ,whom you just consider a "friend".

Koreans' frown upon singleness and "casuality".
