I believe that's what I just did in my previous post.

I'm sure the police will find the IP's to be very different, so you surely don't need to worry one bit.

As you said -- it's likely some troll on here. That's what I would suspect. It's just someone trying to cause trouble.

Let's not feed the troll.

Nice Podcast;
Asked a wide variety of questions (including the "South African" question..which seemed to make Ann rather uncomfortable!), didn't harp on any issue for too long, and the Midnight runner "adverts" were hilarious. You also sounded really professional (especially in the intro...the benefits of rehearsal, I guess).

I look forward to your next one.

I think it is fair for South African applicants to know this. There is nothing wrong with them knowing this. Korea has a shortage of foreign teachers, and South Africans aren't coming here, because they are loaded with money. If they are being charged with high fees to get a job, I don't particularly fancy that.

As far as Korvia, it's a recruiting agency. As one other ESL teacher said becareful about dealing with agencies. Take care of your own self.
They are out there to make money. They don't work for you, they work for the bosses, and in many cases you can end up in a job that is just terrible. I am not an expert on agencies and how they compare to each other. Korvia has helped some teachers from what I understand, but I have also heard of some complaints. I think it is better for teachers to rely on veteran teachers who have been here for a long time to get their advice, because even if an agency has a somewhat decent record, they are still recruiters, and you still have a high chance of getting into a lousy situation. I would hesitate to go through agencies, but that's me.

I understand businesses want to make money. If an agency hires someone to recruit for them, then you have two middle men in front of your job. If the teachers are charged, then the recruiting agency doesn't have to pay out of their own profits which is a natural thing for many businesses to do. It may not be in the interestes of the teachers, perhaps, but businesses operate in their interests.

I think people should just be very careful when coming to Korea as the Canadian and American embassies have warned and solicit as much advice as possible rather than relying on luck or any agency no matter how good it is.

Thanks. The Omer one was kind of funny. I didn't realize it until I got home and listened to it, but I think one of his workers was in the background interpreting.

Are you referring to my post? Anyway, I think people should be careful about relying on these recruiting agencies. I have heard of two complaints about Korvia and several people who said they were satisfied. I do not have enough information to say anything beyond becareful about relying on any agency including Korvia. They are going to be focused on making a profit. It is natural. I wish we could have some survey to look at how the various recruiting agencies have dealt with foreigners. It would be nice to have a thread where people talk about good and bad experiences with recruiters. I am sure several agencies including Korvia have placed people in great schools, but some have been placed in bad places from what I understand. You have to take care of your intersts... Things in Korea as our embassies tell us are not like they are back home. We take getting paid and not being a slave for granted in North America. You can't take that for granted over here as good as Korea can be. Whether you are a Korean American or Caucasian or whatever, be very careful. We veterans don't want to have to bail you out or to tell you we told you so when you ignore us.

Bassexpander disappeared off the radar this year. Nobody knows why. Was he banned? Did he have to stop wasting valuable time now he has a baby? It's a shame BE isn't around anymore, I miss his lively input.
