I've got four computers -- all in good working order -- that I would consider selling (to reduce my conspicuous consumption). Two laptops, both PCs, and two desktops, both Apple. The newer laptop is 3 years old, with upgraded memory. The newer desktop is 4 years old, with upgraded software.

Prices are low. The cheaper Toshiba Satellite laptop -- good for basic uses -- 100,000 won. The more expensive HP laptop -- wireless, good for pretty much anything -- 300,000 won. The cheaper Apple Mac mini -- 150,000 won with keyboard and mouse and extra software. The more expensive wireless Apple Mac mini with an included full numeric wireless keyboard and wireless mouse and with iLife and iWork software for movie making, spread sheets, presentations, publishing, etc. -- 350,000 won with a short-term warranty after check-up from Apple authorized service center. All computers have 80GB hard drives.

Both desktops are offered without monitor. If a monitor is desired, I have a 19" widescreen monitor I would add for 50,000 won.

I also have an 80 GB backup drive (Apple automatically backs up everything every hour and makes it easily accessible with Time Machine) I would be willing to add for another 50,000 won.

I know a place in Incheon where they sell a lot of used computers, very good looking recent model ones,
both desktop and labtop. I'm thinking of buying one there myself.
Its by Gu Wol Dong, down the street from the big Citi Group building.

If you wanna go there sometime I could show it to you.
Maybe there is strength in numbers, and we could both get a better deal that way.

I know it's a bit outta your range, but least you can have something to compare all the others that your looking into.

So I bought this laptop a couple months ago and it's great!!! It's just not powerful enough to run some of the things I want to run, so I need to upgrade. You can see from the pictures, the plastic is still on it.

Laptop:
NO SRATCHES ON THE SCREEN, WEBCAM W BUILT IN MIC, WIRELESS, HDMI, USB MOUSE,W7, 2 GIGS OF 1333mhz RAM (expandable upto 8gbs)
220GB Hard Drive
Intel Core i3 CPU M 330 @ 2.13Ghz
NVIDIA GeForce GT 230M Graphics Card

I will ship anywhere in Korea.

Price is 825 000W

Happy Hunting!

They're not looking for a laptop, they're looking for a labtop. There's a difference.
Just as a Mac is not a pc, a labtop is not a laptop.
Now I'm going to the technology forum to ask what the difference is.

Guava,

Where exactly is this place you are talking about near the Citi building? Do you know the name of the store?

For now I don't wanna advertise it cause theres a iMAC that I wanna buy soon
and I don't want it to disappear before I get there.
Please wait and I'll let you know a little later.

Like I said, if a couple of people went there together and made offers on multiple comps,
maybe they would be inclined to negotiate on prices.

중고사랑
인천남동구 구얼동 112 번지

If you reach a parking lot in front of two story BBQ type restaurant, you passed it by a few meters

At the moment the iMac is still there but its paid for, and its awaiting pickup by me. I also got a Sony 13.3" notebook, a mouse, a carrying bag/backpack, and a new pair of speakers.

So theres less stuff there now, but still some nice things. For example a late model Samsung computer and 22 or 24" monitor, and theres a 20" Dell monitor with a glossy screen, a built-in cam, and usb outlets, I think its new cause when I checked it out, the manager removed a vinyl sticker that was protecting the camera. Some things there are new. Theres various used notebooks there.

I explained to the manager that there are other foreigners who will be going there based on my recommendation, so if you go there tell them the person who got the iMac and the Sony notebook sent you.
He may give a discount of some per cent in the single digits. It seems that they know what they have, how much they need to sell it for, and when to say no when it comes to big discounts.

Also, down the street a bit and across the street is the Incheon branch of RECYCLE CITY, its twice as big as the one I visited in Seoul. I bought a new slow cooker there.
