for a long time in many developing world countries, this was a sure fire way to know whether the girl you met does this regularly with Westerners, especially Americans and for profit.
Any shaving in the nether regions and you knew automatically you were dealing with a de facto working girl.
Alas, this has changed in the last decade and now many normal women/girls are following the gringo shaving fashion.
Which I, along with machoman, also hate. |

btw.. speaking of porn (this is the off topic forum after all)
I despise American porn. There's nothing even remotely more artificial in every sense, from the silicone and shaved down bodies to the preposterous moaning/talking which is as fake as it gets. Europeans do it infinitely better. |

Yeah. Watching their porn is funny. It makes me think the Asian dudes must have a sadistic streak, or want to feel like they're breaking in a virgin every time. |

yes, will agree on the vocal aspects, but I still enjoy the lack of unnatural shaving and way overdone silicone. |

Does anyone know why people have hair on the pubis etc.?
There doesnt seem to be any conclusive theory on this but the most convincing argument is that, it is (on girls specifically) to trap certain 'odours' and to be an outward sign of sexual maturity to the opposite sex (as well as for keeping important bits that are needed for babies, warm)
So really, you could say - pubic hair is a way of knowing that your not 'messing around' with a child from an athropological point of view.
You could argue that girls who shave want to be seen or treated as children by men.
You could also argue that men who want to see women shaved, well, you can see where this is going.
But Im not insinuating anything mind you, Im just making an observation...

| I think a lot of it has to do with sexually transmitted infections. Pubic hair provides somewhat of a buffer for skin contact therefore limiting the chance that something can be passed. |
