Hi all,

I am quitting my job in a couple of weeks and I really want to hear responses from people who have quit EPIK before. In the contract it says that I must notify not only my main school but also the superintendent of the POE that I'm in.

As to the logistics of it, if you decide to notify the superintendent did you do it via email or regular mail? This whole rigmarole seems kind of hokey. Can't my school just notify the superintendent after I have given notice?

Also, if you did notify the superintendent yourself, how did you get his or her contact details? I had a look on the website of my POE but I couldn't find anything useful.

Any insight is appreciated.

Just type a resignation letter and address it to the POE, the Principal, and the Vice Principal. That's three separate letters. Your school can advise the POE.

In your letter you need to say why you're leaving (use a face saving excuse).

You need to make arrangments for your utilities to be paid/ any accommodation bonds returned.

You could also ask for a reference (cheeky, but it might work).

I'd also leave a completed international bank transfer form with your school - just in case they need to forward your final pay to your home bank account (but I'd try to get paid before I leave).

Hand in your ARC at Incheon Intl. immigration - and leave.

Good luck.
