Hello all,

I am leaving for Korea on November 10. Hopefully, someone on the forum can answer my one major question. I am bringing a year's worth of prescriptions (i.e. finastride, zoloft, concerta) to Korea with me. Will I be okay if I place them in my check-in luggage? Will customs confiscate my prescriptions if they find it? Where can I find the appropriate authorities/information to ask these types of questions? Please help me as soon as possible. I feel very anxious about not being able to bring them or having them confiscated. I appreciate all responses. Thank you.

In my experience as long as the prescription is in your name, in the original container it shouldn't be a problem. A lot of name brand pharmaceuticals are not available over here so bringing a year's supply is not that uncommon. Now if you were coming over here on a tourist's visa with a lot of meds that may raise some eyebrows.

FYI, I was not even stopped at customs when I first moved here and was never questioned about the contents of my luggage.

Ditto. I brought 6 months of one medicine, 3 months of another, and a year's worth of vitamins, but they didn't stop me at all. You should be fine.
