Got a call today from customs.
I had to give my passport number and pay 18% customs tax on my package from Play Asia. They told me they'd send me text message with the bank number so i could wire the money. Anything over $100 worth. Just FYI. |

That's usually based on the delivery service. Delivery companies usually charge for items being sent internationally if they're over $100. I've had stuff sent to me from home that were over $100 and Fedex ended up charging me a tax as well. I've been ordering from Play-asia since I got here, and have had no problems with them (except when I ordered Fifa 11.. but it was only delayed by 1 day). Hope this clears up any issues or what not.  |

| Could I ask what you ordered. Don't mean to be nosy, but I'm interested in what they are hitting for duty. I'm guessing you ordered a console or some other big-ticket item? |

| I opted for FedEX because i'm impatient but never again. I guess i should have checked out the link on FREE SHIPPING before hand. Oh well, lesson learned. Next time i'll break it out into two shipments and use the free shipping. I only ordered 3 games. GoW 3, GoW Collection, and FIFA 11. |

| Same here, ordered FFXIV via Play-Asia and had it sent FedEx. Customs rang me up to let me know if I ever have something sent over $120-150 then they will tax me. |

I got a call from Fed Ex today and had to give them my passport #.. I couldnt' really understand what it was for so mething about a tax that I wouldn't have to pay..I ordered a game NHL 11 and with Fedex it cost around 84,000 KW so I'm not sure..
Now it says Clearance Delay.. what does that mean?
Edit: Called Fedex and they said it's a customs process.. they couldn't explain why the game was held up. |

The samething happened to me when I ordered Fifa11. When I called them up, they said it would be sent the following day. They had to get the correct information from Play-Asia or whatever. I researched a bit online because it was really pissing me off, but couldn't really find out what was happening. |

| I've tried to research as well but came up with nothing useful in terms of getting stuff from Playasia.. . Fedex's fine print says they're not held responsible for the time guarantee if it gets held up in customs.. so that might be it..buddy of mine ordered a game and it didn't make it within the guarantee.. one minute it was in Suwon guaranteed to make it by 6 next minute it had to clear customs.. so who really knows.. |
