I just went to the Computer Dome at Myeoungnyundong station and I was very disappointed. It is 3 very small floors of computer equipment. I wrongly assumed that, like in Seoul, there would also be video game consoles and games sold there. Well there was nothing. So far I cannot find anything in Busan for gaming. Any suggestions?
I find it very confusing how Koreans have such a passing interest in console gaming. I think it would be a very lucrative market. The department chains sell games but they only carry a handful. If you are Korean you must think that there are only 10 games available for each system, since those are the only games available over the counter anywhere but Seoul. I find it all very strange.
In Taiwan, most moderate sized cities carry gaming stores. Even the markets have games available most times.
There are some things about Korea I will just never understand I guess. |

The most wired country in the world, with the fastest Internet speeds, and highest PC to household ratio on the planet. It really doesn't surprise me.
That being said, I'm sure if you just look a little harder...
Oh and also avoid computer stores like "Computer Dome" as they tend to carry computers. |

Try the underground shopping arcade in Somyeon.
Go North from the subway station (look for a fountain). There are a few gameshops on that strip. |

I second hanguker. There are two game shops just past the fountain on the right side. The first one is a bit more expensive. The second one was a bit better (at least for what i wanted and needed).
I was able to pick up a couple of PS3 games, buy R4 cards, and have a friends Wii modded for him. I was in and out in 30 minutes.
He has a few used PS3 games and he will let you test them. |

I found it. Thanks. I bought an Xbox 360 there for a good price and a bunch of games. |
