I was just doing some research about them - you know, trying to figure out if it was a place i can thrive. |

I'm using my gf's account, but here's my experience:
I met Mr. Park (the CEO) in person, and he seems to be a good businessman. He's also easy to communicate with.
As for each school it varies greatly, but the school my gf at is great, and the contract is extremely fair. She had to have the contract changed to include pension and NHI, but the boss did so without argument. Also, the school very close to us (another You & I) also has a great owner and the employees there rave about their job.
That said, the program itself can seem quirky at times, which is a trade-off for not having to prep much at all. It is going to depend a lot on your boss. Do your due diligence and you should be fine.
There are a lot of You & I's that aren't very good because the business model emphasizes income (especially selling books like clockwork) over the exact needs of the students, and therefore the specific education.
However, if you're a good teacher you can work the stuff in for the students anyway....
Just like any hagwon, it can be good or bad, and you need to do your research. Good luck in your search! |

You and I strung me along for about 2 months. They bounced me from school to school several times, each time offering some sort of unacceptable change which I would obviously reject (you have to share an apartment, is this okay? pass), or some excuse (sorry we had a problem with communication and they hired someone else) sort of deal. Wasted quite a bit of time, I would suggest passing on the time sink and finding someone who won't dangle crap infront of you for a while.
Each time this happened, and it happened three times I was told that both Jason and Mr Bak were very upset and were looking hard to find me another job somewhere. |
