HI! I was wondering if EPIK teachers' salaries automatically go up to the next level (ex. from 1 to 1+)? Basically, if a teacher renews again with the school, will the pay increase be automatic, regardless if the teacher deserves it or not, even though he/she was asked to renew? |

No. The contract clearly states that pay raises will not be automatic. You'll have to ask for it. If you don't ask don't expect to get it. |

Yes. If you're asked to renew it will go up automatically. Make sure to check the correct box on your new contract. |

I can only speak with certainty about Gangwon, but the answer is yes, its automatic.
Your example is a bit complicated though. Going from level 1 to level 1+ requires 2 years of service at level 1. But you do get a raise in the 2nd year at level 1. (Its in your contract.)
1st year at level 1: 2.5 mil
2nd year at level 1: 2.6
following year at level 1+: 2.7 |
