Okay, I'm prepared to bet 6 months' wages on Palin not getting elected as President in 2012. If anyone wants to take this bet, pvt me and we'll organise contact details etc. 1:1. If she doesn't win I take 6 months of your wages.

I'd give six month of my wages to three months of anyone who wants Palin to win.

BTW, Rufus, are you employed right now?

I'm not following. Why would you give your 6 months of wages to 3 months of anyone who wants Palin to win? Huh?

Because it is still a sucker's bet. At both Paddy Power and BetUSA, Palin is 10-1 against becoming the next president. I'm still getting 50 cents on the dollar when I should only be getting 10, and I am more likely to get a taker (until I posted this, I suppose Exclamation )

Let's cut the BS and analyze this objectively, folks. Palin gets a lot of mileage out of horny old men and bimbos admiring her over her looks. She's at the age where women go downhill fast in the looks department. Age her three years and her "political capital" will be sagging in direct proportion to her saggy 2012 bosoms.

While Sarah Palin has a wide range of choices for VP candidates who fit with her world view, the field narrowed dramatically over the weekend with South Carolina Lt. Governor Andre Bauer emerging as the front runner.

Sure, his comments comparing children of families receiving assistance to "stray animals" created a firestorm of outrage from the knee jerk liberals who distort any thoughtful comments made by conservatives. But it will all blow over, and is just a momentary "setback," according to political pundits.

"It's a Setback": Experts Weigh In on Andre Bauer's Comments

Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Experts say Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer's "stray animals" remark at a Greenville town hall meeting over the weekend was a "setback" and could affect him at the polls.

Bauer compared government assistance for the poor to feeding stray animals.

Charles Bierbauer, Dean of The College of Mass Communications and Information Studies at the University of South Carolina weighed in on the comments Tuesday during an interview with News19.

"Anytime a politician makes a misstep, it's a setback and they have to spend time correcting it rather than focus on the message they're trying to get out on a continuing basis. It's a setback for Andre Bauer, but whether he will overcome it or not will unfold in the weeks and months ahead," Bierbauer said.

Hey, they spelled his name right, didn't they?

Vote Palin--Bauer in 2012.

Not so fast there, buddy. I'll grant you the guy has established himself in his estimable concern for birth conditions, but what are his bona fides in birtherism? I think that might be the sine qua non of any 2012 candidates.

Well, I suppose if Rush LImbaugh throws his hat into the ring, that could change the odds. But why would he take a pay cut?

To keep Glenn Beck from getting his hands on the levers of power?

I don't for a minute mean to imply Glenn has a lock on the nomination. After all, there is plenty of time for a dark horse to emerge--there is the South Carolinian with a penchant for horses--the same one twice!

Yes, employed in dear Korea :)

My offer still stands......

By signing with Fox, Palin has shown she's not interested in 2012. But I'll offer the same for 2016. 1:1, Palin won't win it, up to 6 months' pay.

Glenn Beck hasn't got a lock on reality.

On Friday Beck aired his documentary that linked all of history's dictators to the 'progressive' movement.

Now he's openly comparing Obama to Chavez.... absolute lunatic.

Palin makes it semi-official: Sarah Palin announces that she will announce her candidacy for president because the country needs her.

Quote:

In an interview with Fox Business Network's Neil Cavuto Tuesday, former Alaska governor Sarah Palin said she is definitely interested in a 2012 presidential bid.

Asked by Cavuto whether she's interested in running for president, Palin responded, "Of course I am interested. I am interested in doing what this country needs."

When she makes it official, though, Palin promised she'd keep her word to KWHL radio personalities Bob and Mark, who host the station's morning show and have been fans since Palin's gubernatorial days.

"I am announcing it on the Bob and Mark show," Palin said. "I promised a local station in Anchorage I would go back home to do such a thing."

Either that, or she's never heard of the conditional tense.

If Murkowski won and it looks like she has then Simple Sarah's 15 minutes are over. The mouthbreathers who thought this intellectualy challenged woman had a real chance at the office of president got a cold dose of reality today. She is hated in her home state by those who know her best.

Sending out pictures of her and baby Trig together pretty much tells all you need to know. She would use her downs syndrome child to try and win votes. .

Say goodbye Sarah!

This is how the Republican establishment says thank you to that great patriot and savior of the Republican Party, Sarah Palin:
Quote:

The 43rd President has told friends the ex-Alaska governor isn't qualified to be President and criticizes Arizona Sen. John McCain for putting Palin on the 2008 GOP ticket and handing her a national platform, New York Daily New Washington bureau chief Thomas DeFrank reported Friday.

"He thinks McCain ran a lousy campaign with an unqualified running mate and destroyed any chance of winning by picking Palin, a Republican official familiar with Bushs thinking told DeFrank.

Karl Rove, Bushs political mastermind, had already questioned whether Palin had the gravitas to be president or even the fortitude to withstand the rigors of a long, bruising campaign.

In recent days, two former Republican speechwriters have weighed in unfavorably on Palin as well.

Michael Gerson, a top aide in the Bush White House, says that in some ways Palin has become a threat to the Republican future.

Most recently, Gerson writes in his Washington Post column, thats the result of her endorsement of Constitution Party gubernatorial candidate Tom Tancredo in Colorado. Tancredo, a former Republican congressman, is a divisive figure best known for his virulent, sometimes racist anti-immigrant pronouncements

Her endorsement raises the question of whether Palin has any standards for her support other than anti-government rhetoric, Gerson writes. Either as a power broker or a candidate in the 2012 election, Palin's increasingly erratic political judgment should raise Republican concerns.

http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/Election-2010/Vox-News/2010/1106/Republican-establishment-takes-on-Sarah-Palin

Isn't qualified to be president? That from George Bush? How could anyone be a worse president than George Bush? Palin, by comparison, is a veritable George Washington.

And what's wrong with "virulent, sometimes racist anti-immigrant pronouncements," if they are made by God fearing Republican patriots?

Sorry, Gerson, but it's not your party, anymore. All of you liberal, elite college educated Republicans are history. The Republican Party now belongs to real Christians, ones who believe in The Bible, and that America is a Christian Nation.

Quote:
Tougher still is what former Reagan speechwriter and Wall Street Journal columnist Peggy Noonan had to say about Palin this week.

What set Noonan off was Palins recent Fox News comment about an icon among past Republican presidents: Wasn't Ronald Reagan an actor? Wasn't he in 'Bedtime for Bonzo,' Bozo, something? Ronald Reagan was an actor.

Excuse me, but this was ignorant even for Mrs. Palin, wrote Noonan, who then went on to note Reagans professional career as president of the Screen Actors Guild and then governor of a large and complex state for eight years before entering national politics, challenging his partys sitting president (Gerald Ford), and popularizing modern conservative political philosophy all before winning two terms as president.

The point is not He was a great man and you are a nincompoop, though that is true, Noonan wrote, contrasting Palin with the 40th president. The point is that Reagan's career is a guide, not only for the tea party but for all in politics. He brought his fully mature, fully seasoned self into politics with him. He wasn't in search of a life when he ran for office, and he wasn't in search of fame; he'd already lived a life, he was already well known, he'd accomplished things in the world.

Palins retort to such criticism is that shes fighting the political establishment, including the Republican establishment some of which she labels sleazy.

Noonan's just a cry baby whiner. She's been whining about Palin even before the 2008 election. Reagan was just a sleazy actor who was upstaged by a chimp, and we all know what kind of chimp chump commies run Hollywood. And besides, Palin was governor of a bigger state than California.

The Republicans need Sarah Palin. Before long, they will be groveling at her knees begging her to take the nomination for president. And in 2020, they will have to expand Mount Rushmore to make room for Sarah Palin.

I hope she gets the nomination. For entertainment purposes of course.
