1. do pension, health, and taxes come out of entrance and settlement allowance?

2. does anyone have a phone number for the english speaking korean national tax hotline?

Don't talk to the TAX service. Talk to your SMOE/GEPIK or EPIK representative.

it is sort of a gray area and there seems like some confusion over the tax implications when epik stopped directly buying tickets and started giving a flat 1.3 mil entrance and exit allowance.
