Well, we could do with a specific musicians thread here (or its own forum) but ill start here. So..
Hi there, My name is Ed, im the vocalist for Korean Metal band, fatalfear (on you tube etc) and were on hiatus for a few months as we need to replace our bassist and a guitarist is busy with work etc until after the "festive" season, so, I have an opportunity to start another project, and trust me, even when fatal starts back up we arent usually that busy so there plenty of chances to jam and play shows anywhere in korea, even though i am based in busan.(For example, if your in seoul, my wifes family live in seoul so it would give us more chance to do things in seoul)
I'm up for anything remotely heavy...or grungy!
My influences are Pantera, Down, black sabbath, the haunted, strapping young lad, dark tranquility, fear factory, mary beats jane, nine inch nails, ministry, alice in chains, terror 2000, at the gates, in flames....BIGBANG...(haha, yeah right)..and a load more.
hit me up if your interested!
[email protected]
if not, i hope this will begin a musicians meeting spot! |

Why not?
Doesn't have to be just for those who actually play music though....could be for all things music...like upcoming concerts or just music chat. |

My name is Tom - I am the ex-vocalist for numerous bands based around England. I have sang with folk bands, hard rock bands, blues bands and jam bands. All good fun!
Currently writing my solo, acoustic EP - hoping to get most of it recorded before Christmas.
Where are you based Ed? |

It's a good idea. I'd like to meet someone to jam with, but I fear that there are a lot of real musicians out there (ie people who aren't as rubbish as me).
Having a creative outlet in Korea is a good idea, and a forum to meet others in the same boat would be useful. |

This could be useful. I live in Incheon and feel pretty lucky to have found the guys I play with. I worry about the day their contracts end or they get sick of playing since finding players in Incheon is a bitch.
Current Bands: The Mad Cannons and The Songdo Social Club
Based in: Incheon
Instuments: Guitar and 5 string bass
Rig: Genz Benz
Sing: Yes
Musical style: Down on the upbeat, deep grooved tunes with a good dose of heavy crunch for seasoning
Biggest influences: The Bad Brains and ottmar leibart |

I'm working on an EP. It's French House and all still in the process of being completed. Anyone else out there make dance music?

I have a music forum for music, because nobody in Korea except tomato seems to appreciate good music. Oh and what's his name... Underwaterbob.
Not trying to offend when I say most people discussing music here seem to largely be into punk and/or rock. I mean I love rock, prog, metal, but never to perform or indeed talk about in a forum. There's nothing really to talk about other than 'this song is good, this song is bad'.
This could just be my snobbish way of unleashing the headache I got from work today though.

Actually I took the OP as being about connecting musicians and found that valuable. |

Yeah, the reason I said no offence, really. I'm normally more than happy to be trollish. But I have since forgotten my point and my head hurts too much to try, so in light of ... uh...

I like the idea. I'd especially like to see another Chungjupalooza organized, but the people who knew people are out of country now. |

Is this thread for anyone who wants to find other musicians in their area. If so then I'm in Gumi and want to try and start an instrumental/math rock group. If not... well I'm still in Gumi and want to try and start an instrumental/math rock group. I play the guitar and really just want to jam some tunes I have or tunes you may have. |

I'd be interested in that. What kind of influences? |

Hmm there's many, but for this kind of music I guess Battles, Redneck Manifesto, Adebisi Shank, Hella, Mono, Explosians in the Sky etc. though iI'm more into the faster paced stuff than the drawn out dramatic style i.e. Mono. I don't think I have enough posts yet to PM anyone. |

Sounds good, but when's the last time they added a new forum to this site?
Actually, when's the last time they did any kind of forum cleaning/reorganizing? I love the out of date 7 year old stickies! |
