Wow, I've never had that problem before, and I've stayed in plenty of motels all around Korea. Where in Seoul are you? I've stayed around Itaewon a few times, but the rooms were pretty bad (guess it's more for people who only want the room for a couple of hours...). Maybe try around Seoul Station. Just go in and ask how much it is for X number of days.

Sorry, I just realised you had written "hotels", not "motels". Duh. I've had a long week...

Jongnowon.com at Anguk Station. Affordable. Around 28,000 W a night. Sociable. Mostly a waygukkin clientele that congregate in the kitchen to fix breakfast and such.

Very little not to commend it. Check it out.

My understanding that it's only the super nice motels that won't let you book for the whole weekend. I used to live around a bunch, and there was one that didn't let you book daytime if you booked nights, but the rest were almost as nice and weren't an issue.
