I just received my visa in Budapest (ahhhh... it's finally over!)... I just noticed that my visa type is [E21]...? What's up with that? I was applying for an E-2 visa...! |

E-2 visas are just called E-21 now because they're for 13 months instead of the previous 12-month E-2. |

Thanks. Yeah, I noticed it said 13 months... that's actually very cool and surprisingly logical of them. That old rule that you had to leave the country on basically the day your contract ended, somehow sorting out bank and payment and apartment and flight issues all to come together on the very day you finish work, was so ridiculous.
Hooray for Korean immigration. |

I have an E-22 (public school) and it is valid for one year only. Not 13 months. |
