I love fried chicken and Popeye's was one of my favorite brands back in the U.S. Popeye's is in Korea but has declined over the years. There used to be an outlet in Sinchon and Yongsan but both have been closed.

That said, it seems the franchise is making a comeback because Seoul has 27 Popeye's stores. I hope this is the case and also that stuff available from the U.S. outlets are available in Korea.

I hope so! It's good stuff. But there's a fierce market for fried chicken in Korea.

There's one in Sanbon and one in Suwon by one of the gates.

there is a popeye's in seongnam....it's been there from a long time.

I've seen plenty of them. I know there's one in Nowan, Gangnam, and in Janghanpyeong.

i've been to a couple of popeye's in korea and i'm disappointed that they don't have red beans and rice or po boy sandwhiches

One thing I missed while I was in Korea was the spicy rice mix or red beans and rice mix that some places make so well in the Southwest US.

cajun-tong chicken sandwicheeee was a staple of mine back in 2004-06. used to be popey's in bundang by migeum and one in yong-tong suwon; no idea if they are still there or not

Alot around konkuk....never had a shortage of cajun chicken

I think they would be more successful in Korea if they served beer.

I'm back in the US now and I miss Korean chicken-and-beer restaurants!

In the gates of Sejong University, across from Children's Grand Park, is a new building with a Popeyes.

I wish Popeyes in KOrea sold pickled Jalape�o peppers. Those peppers go great with chicken.

Haven't ate at popeyes in a long time, but there's one at Gangnam station now. How much does a bucket of chicken cost? Cuz fried chicken in Korea is a huge rip off, especially Kyochon chicken. It's like 17,000 and it doesn't even fill me up.

Pro tip: In certain modern train stations (Gwangmyeong, Daegu for example) they have "Mom's Touch" restaurants which are just re-branded Popeye's.

I do wonder if the Popeye's chicken they serve in Korea is similar to the kind in the U.S. I'm thinking more than likely that it's close but not the same.
